Booga's Junkyard

Two sortable tables for data analysis (plain HTML + JS). Density from Census CBP 2023 (NAICS 423140 + 423930). License transfer ease from local research in data/change-of-control.json. Listing/price samples from data/market-findings.json. Blank cells mean not filled yet.

Track order (high → low): priority candidate unresearched later hold avoid · priority beats candidate (ease pathway already good enough to pursue; candidate = scale/density interest with incomplete or mixed ease). Sort the Track column to order by this rank.
Confidence (next to ease): V = verified against a primary or near-primary source (statute, regulation, or agency publication) that is specifically about salvage / dismantler / junkyard licensing — not a search-engine summary alone.
S = structural inference from checked source text; plausible and on-topic, but not stated as a direct transfer rule (or primary text could not be fully re-derived).
Blank / unresearched = no lookup yet, or confidence not set on that row. Never promote a row to V from a search summary alone (this project has seen wrong statutes returned for salvage queries).
Facility / license types (default: all on)

Thick left border on a name cell marks a row in the union shortlist (top‑6 union across ease / density / total / for-sale / cheap-ask columns). That highlight is independent of track color shading. CBP = Census County Business Patterns (establishment counts by NAICS; density columns use NAICS 423140 + 423930). Facility / license types are multi-label tags for which regimes a state covers (dismantler vs scrap processor vs general dealer, etc.); they do not change shortlist or track scoring. Grants/funding column is reference-only and does not affect shortlist scoring or the map.

Facility / license types (default: all on)

CBP = Census County Business Patterns. Counties use CBP establishment counts; city rows are listing pins (often no CBP total). County markers on the map use geographic centroids, not yard street addresses. Facility types are inherited from the parent state unless a row is tagged more specifically later.
